Earthquake-proof house feature is
an important for a safe and secure life.

Japan is an earthquake country.
Plenty of research and experiments has been done to ensure safety and
secure is a top-tier priority in house built of Aqura home.

Number of earthquakes since year 2000

More than 200 earthquakes of intensity 5 out of 7 or higher have occurred.

Horyu-ji is the oldest
existing wooden structures
in the world.

Surprisingly, Horyu-ji Temple did not collapse due to the earthquake. The buildings which built over 1,300 years ago still remain together with all other five-story pagoda in another prefecture in Japan as well.

20% of the world's earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.0 above is occurring in Japan. Designated techniques for buldings which suitable for harsh conditions are established more than 1,300 years ago are proven to be high earthquake resistance until now.

A home that protects your love one from the earthquake. Performance proved in full-scale seismic test.

The results after all possible earthquakes test conducted proved that there was no damage and complications anywhere after the earthquake.

Experimented on the largest earthquake scale in Japan and completed a highly earthquake-resistant house.

In resonse to the incresing demand for disaster prevation in recent years, when earthquike happend, important to keep damege at minimum and not only remain but also make house possible to live even it happend. We did several test and proof that after any possible situations house can be lived.

The seismic performance is recognized by the professionals.

The seismic performance exceeded my expectations. This high performance is due to their accurate designed and installation. They have tested as many as 10 types of earthquakes. From my standpoint, they are able to deal with various kind of problems.

I thought that if the house was exposed to seismic wave with an intensity of 7 many times, it would be damaged. However, the result shown the building was almost intact. It turned out that the building is quite earthquake-resistant even though it is not a building made of specially improved earthquake resistance. In my opinion, high seismic performance is obtained by accumulating the high performance of each construction criteria such as bearing wall and brace.

The revive of a wooden architecture in Japan. A solid wooden 8 story building is the first in Japan to be announced as a popular type of building.

The Aqura home group has the decision was made to construct a 'popular pure
wooden building', an eight-storey wooden building, using popular materials,
methods and construction. In recent years, the trend towards purely wooden
buildings has accelerated and the use of timber has been expanding from an environmental perspective. For the conversion of non-residential buildings to wood, local construction companies and other makers throughout Japan can construct them. We believe that it is important to make it a prototype. This building is a prototype that uses special technology and materials. The most widespread method of timber-frame construction in Japan, such as lumber milling and pre-cut processing technology, does not make extensive use of this method. The building is constructed by the makers of wooden houses, using a production system that is based on a 'popular pure wooden building'. The aim is to reduce the cost of a conventional wooden building by two-thirds. Two low-rise, medium-large wooden buildings are also planned to be constructed on the site.

Traditional techniques that have been adopted in shrine and temple architecture since ancient times in Japan and have also been researched and developed in collaboration with universities. It combines modern technology and is one of the new options for building construction, public buildings, etc. We hope to play a part in the revival of the wooden townscape. It is scheduled for completion in 2024. This will be the new building of Acura Home.

adopted at the UN Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2015.
It aims to put an end to poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people have their peace and prosperity.
It sets out 17 goals to change the world and pledges to "leave no one behind" on the planet.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Wodden straw, -Preservation of the forest

Adopted for multiple international conferences such as
the G20 Osaka Summit, held in Japan.

The tragic heavy rain disaster in western Japan triggered the creation of new way of eco-friendly product.

The "wooden straw of the cannery " is originally the idea of an environmental journalist, Yuri Takeda. He claimed that insufficient tree thinning in those areas caused the heavy rain disaster in western Japan, 2018 as one of its major factors. We are, AQURA HOME GROUP, is the first company in the world to successfully develop and mass produce this product. The main material is domestic timber, including thinned timber. Thin sheets sliced to a thickness of 0.15 mm are put together in a straw shape. From the viewpoint of disaster mitigation based on forest environment, domestic thinned wood is used as a main material, and the knotty parts which have limited use are also used. We believe the widespread use of our wooden straws will promote the use of thinned wood. Also contributing to forest management and diminish waste plastics. By using these local supplies, it leads local employment for challenging people and seniours.

From self-help to mutual help and mutual aid, 10 years after the lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Disaster relief activities in collaboration with the Acura Group and national construction companies.

Applying lessons learned from past catastrophes to housing construction.

The AQURA HOME GROUP has been involved in a number of earthquakes, starting with the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995, followed by the Niigata Chuetsu-oki Earthquake in 2007, the company has provided local assistance after each earthquake or disaster, including the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the Kumamoto Earthquake in 2016. In addition, as a housing company, we have been thinking about how we should tackle disasters and we have been working on this issue.

Model house becomes disaster relief facility.

A housing exhibition centre that will serve as a 'disaster relief facility' in the event of a disaster will be launched in 2019. To ensure that modelhouse across Japan are fully equipped with emergency rations, electricity and even water can be provided sustainably through the installation of solar power, electric vehicles and latitude. This initiative to turn model houses into disaster preparedness facilities, it is the first attempt of its kind in Japan. In these days of increasing natural disasters, we will continue its activities.

Zero-energy homes and passive design

Acura Home proposes to create comfortable homes that utilise the power of nature, such as wind, sun and greenery. Our homes are designed to be cool in summer and warm in winter, with layouts that let the wind blow into the rooms, solar power generation systems, etc. We actively propose ideas that are friendly to both the earth and the family budget, and provide the comfort of living in harmony with nature and advanced facilities. It combines the convenience of a rich lifestyle.

Global Forest Protection Project

Together with world-class artisans, we have developed items that contribute to the environment (creative washi kits, business card holders and braided crafts). These are made from leftover raw materials and scraps of washi for construction, which have to be thrown away. They convey the artistic value of master craftsmanship, the joy and pleasure of making them, and provide a place to think about forests and the global environment. The project will provide.
